‘Going Green’ is a Trillion Dollar business

Consider the fact that companies “going green” have exploded into a trillion-dollar business. Companies’ investment in reversing global warming and making the United States energy—independent can create new ideas, new solutions, and new jobs. It is actually feasible that the number of new green jobs could eventually outnumber the number of jobs lost during the 2008-2009 recession. In these tough economic times, that is welcome news. Contrary to what Kermit the Frog sang, perhaps it IS easy (and beneficial) being “green!”

A Green Degree Can Help to Turn an Economy Right-Side-Up

Can something good stem from something bad?

Actually, it happens quite frequently in life. While mosquitoes can be a nuisance during our summer outdoor activities, they serve a critical role in the food chain by consuming other critters that nibble on crops. And while rain can drown out our picnicking, camping, and sporting events, we learned in elementary school that it serves a vital role in Mother Nature’s water cycle.

How bad have the most recent recessions been? During the two latest recessions in the United States have occurred from 1990-1991, and from 2008-2009(?). During the recession in the early 1990s, the USA lost about 1.6 million jobs. However, that figure is miniscule when compared with the 2008-2009 recession, during which the economy has shed 6 million jobs (including job requiring a green degree) since the beginning of 2001.

Thus, as with any other recession, the loss of jobs during the two most recent recessions has been one of the most devastating characteristics. During the recession of 1990-1991, unemployment was highest during the first part of the recession. However, it continued increasing for a year after the economy had begun to grow again. In fact, after the 1990-1991 recession, unemployment rates never dropped lower than their pre-recession levels–until five years AFTER the recession ended!

Meanwhile, the current recession has had a different trend than the 1990-1991 recession. Although most job losses occurred during the first part of the latter recession, over half of the 6 million jobs lost from the start of 2008 until the present, occurred in the first half of 2009 alone! Those job losses have happened in a variety of financial sectors, including some workers with a Green Degree Because the current recession has not ended yet, the total number of jobs lost due to the recession, could ultimately be astronomical.

Can anything good result from the current skyrocketing unemployment? The housing boom that began in the middle 1990s created numerous jobs and ultimately helped to end the recession of the early 1990s. Could that scenario repeat itself during the current recession? Many financial experts doubt that a housing boom or Internet boom will end the United States’ escalating unemployment.

Nevertheless, the good news for those with a green degree is that the current recession in the USA could actually have a silver lining. How is that possible? Just as the housing boom in the mid-1990s compensated for the jobs lost during the 1990-1991 recession, so a “Green Revolution” could ultimately have a similar effect during the current economic downturn.

Why Get Green Jobs Training?

The economical climate we face today would probably discourage most people to attend training courses and get a degree. Even the renewable energy sector which is believed to be the most stable one has been affected by the present economical situation. However, the demand for people with a green jobs training is increasing considerably. This affirmation might sound contradictory, but in fact it is true.

There are several factors behind this increasing demand for green jobs training personnel. The most important factors are government support and the lack of qualified employees.

In February 2009 President Obama has pinpointed that over sixty billion dollars will go to the energy industry, a big part of which will go to the renewable energy sector. Approximately thirty percent of solar energy projects costs will thus be covered and the need for trained individuals will arise. Under such circumstances, having green jobs training means filling one of the five hundred thousand job vacancies expected to rise in the next couple of years.

Another one of the reasons why a green degree makes such a difference in one’s career is the lack of properly trained employees. Almost seventy percent of the surveyed institutions report that they lack individuals with green jobs training Moreover, many as forty percent of the qualified personnel are planning to retire in the years to come. This, cumulated with the fact that a significant number of people are not yet properly qualified to work in the renewable energy sector, brings out the importance of training for a green degree

With so many funds allocated for the renewable energy sector and lack of qualified personnel, green jobs training is priceless. These funds are aimed at “greening” buildings, building solar plants and supporting installation of individual home PV systems. Even if not all projects will be finished in the years to come and more funds will be necessary, there are a large number of work places to be filled with trained individuals. These two reasons alone should be sufficient to make anyone comprehend the fact that solar industry training is a treasure that can lead to a long, fulfilling career.

However, keep in mind that not all training camps can provide you with the necessary knowledge and practice to fill the desired job. A structured training course in renewable energy is crucial. Up to date information must be presented to you, practicing what you have learned should be a part of the training and last but not least, interacting with experienced personnel should also be part of the training. Once you have carefully chosen the training camp of your choice, you will get your green jobs training, in as little as two days’ time, depending on which course you choose to attend. Online training courses are also available for those who want to train and get a degree in solar energy.

The renewable energy sector is relatively known to most people. This is a fast growing sector in need of trained personnel. Green jobs training can bring you and your family stability as well as the satisfaction that you are contributing to making the world a clean place.

Choose Green Jobs Training for a Bright Future

Training to be the best is advisable, irrespective of what your field of expertise is. In many areas of work, it is sometimes impossible to be the best at what you do because there are many people with more experience than you. However, there are relatively new fields of activity, where experience is sometimes scarce and a lack of properly trained personnel is very common. One of those areas is the renewable energy sector.
Although renewable resources have been exploited for some time now, interest in this sector has only been shown in the last years. People have come to understand the importance of renewable resources, such as solar energy, and the industry of solar energy has developed only in the last decade. Because this is a relatively new domain, trained personnel are scarce and green jobs training immediately increase your chances of having a prosperous career.

Predictions for this year and the years to come are favorable for the renewable energy sectors. An important amount of money has been allocated to this sector and many funds have gone into researching this industry. The many projects that have been finalized and turned in a profit and the many more projects aimed at using solar energy still to be materialized come to show us how important green jobs training can be. Building large solar power plants represent just a small part of the ongoing renewable energy projects. People are also encouraged to use PV systems to power their homes and some federal buildings are entirely powered by solar panels.
At present, the solar power produced is not impressive, but what is important is that the need for solar energy increases with almost 34 percent every year. This consequently leads to more renewable energy projects, more funding and of course the need for more trained personnel. Green jobs training can, under these circumstances, prove to be a valuable asset. Beside the fact that many solar plants are to be built, the government is planning to make all federal buildings “green”, which includes using solar panel systems. For this job, trained employees are needed. Green jobs training are thus the perfect start to a perfect career.
Moreover, following the example of the government, more and more people have started to use PV panel systems to power their home, either partially or entirely. Selling, installing, designing or maintaining such systems is thus in growing demand. Consequently, a green certification must be obtained. Training to get such a degree is not difficult. The period of time required to get green jobs training depends on what you want to learn. You can train to be a PV system sales person, you can train to design and install a system and many more other courses are available to you in order to get your green certification
Starting and building a great career is everyone’s dream. Green jobs training can bring you more than that. Besides success and money, solar energy industry training can also bring you the satisfaction that generations to come will enjoy all the wonders of the world, just like you have.

Benefits of Getting Structured Training and Certification in Renewable Energy

The dissemination of photovoltaic technologies in the United States and around the world has a bright future ahead of it. This technology meets an important need of today’s societies, namely that of supplying energy. In addition to this, this source of renewable energy is the object of a rapidly growing marketplace, which creates local jobs and promotes economic development, especially in rural areas. Furthermore, using solar power to generate energy decreases the environmental costs that are typically related to supplying electricity via the traditional technologies.

A variety of photovoltaic technologies are being funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, with the definite goal of achieving a significant growth of solar electricity in the Unites States. A similar interest in renewable energy sources was shown in countries in the E.U., where governments have already successfully implemented hundreds of projects based on renewable energy. This, in turn, has led to an increasing demand of skilled professionals with green jobs training to enter the workforce of this continually developing industry.

Taking into account the series of factors that have made the solar industry so attractive over recent years, there is little wonder why this industry has taken off so spectacularly. The numerous uses and applications of photovoltaic systems, paired with a lower cost of generating energy from solar power and an increasing cost of supplying electricity with the traditional technologies and resources have led to more and more attention towards this readily available and convenient form of generating energy. In addition to its notable benefits for the environment, PV power is among the most cost-effective options for power applications.

In light of the rapid expansion of the solar industry and the stability of the energy industry, it is understandable why more and more investors are paying close attention to this market and a growing number of professionals are interested in enhancing their career opportunities in this field. The first step towards achieving this goal is to get training and certification in solar energy. Solar courses and certification credentials enhance one’s job or business opportunities considerably. Everyone can get a green jobs traininf from one of the authorized certification bodies that operate all over the United Stated.

Meeting certain predetermined qualifications or standards and obtaining a certification of your skills is a very important step towards building a successful career in the solar industry. Building on your existing set of skills or developing new ones and getting green jobs training is an essential step towards jump starting your career in the solar energy industry.
A well structured, comprehensive and rigorously executed training course will provide participants with all the necessary information in just a few days. Experience in renewable energy industry is not very common, as this field of expertise does not have a long history. A training boot camp where trainers with over thirty years of experience in this field how to make good use of this expanding industry to build your future is a very wise choice if you are interested in pursuing a career in solar energy. Green jobs training ensures a bright future because this new energy industry is stable and continuously developing.

Train to Become “Green”

Renewable energy such as solar energy, wind energy and water energy are the basis of a new, productive and stabile energy industry. If not long ago, these alternative sources of energy were just that, alternative, nowadays the world has started to invest more and more in this industry, which is soon going to replace the old energy industry.

Major solar plants across the world are testimony to the fact that renewable energy makes for a reliable future. Moreover, major projects aiming at converting solar energy into electrical energy stand as proof that this renewable energy industry represents the future. Portugal is one of the many countries that have opened its doors to solar energy, which once again stand to prove that this industry is the future.

Moreover, the major undergoing projects aimed at opening more solar plants sustain the affirmation that the renewable energy industry will soon be the primary electrical industry.  The era of coal, oil or gas power plants is not over and it is likely to be in our lives for a long time, but it does not represent our future anymore.

Training to get a green certification represents the future, especially when governments around the world encourage people to use solar energy for their homes. Although many countries rely on old plants for electrical energy, the increase in solar energy production is visible. Reports stand as proof that people have understood the importance of renewable energy and from now on, all efforts will be concerted in that direction.

For these reasons alone, if you are an engineer, an architect, a business professional, an electrical constructor or a person who understands the future, training for a green AA degree represents a major step towards a successful and fulfilling career.

Solar energy is fructified through photovoltaic panels. Designing, installing and maintaining PV panels requires structured knowledge that can only result from training. Moreover, if you are interested in starting a PV panel business, or any other renewable energy business, training to receive your green certification is crucial. A well planned, informative and rigorously executed training course can offer you all the information you need in just a few days. Experience in renewable energy industry is sometimes hard to find, because people have just started to comprehend the importance of this field. A training boot camp where people with over thirty years of experience in this field share their information you with and teach you how to use renewable energy to build your future is priceless. A green AA degree is the future because this new energy industry is stable and continuously developing.

It is true that the transaction from the old to the new energy industry might take some time, but one thing is certain: natural sources of energy will eventually replace the old ones.

The “alternative” energy industry is on its way to becoming the main energy industry in the world. Even if we never run out of resources such as coal or gas to produce energy, we will probably run out of time, because the number one polluting industry in the world is the energy one. Therefore, a green certification is not only the future, but the means of having a future.

Green Degrees For Successful Careers

The World is currently experiencing a global economic crisis, and we are all looking for stable and promising jobs. One industry that offers a promising career is the renewable energy sources industry.

Undoubtedly, the renewable energy sector has already created many jobs, and will create more and more jobs. These jobs, however, require employees to get a green degree or a green certification With all the information required to learn in order to be truly effective in environmental issues, economy of at least a few countries, will be completely changed from what they look like now.

The problem that this industry has is that there are not enough workers with a green certification to fill in all the jobs. This sector needs smart and powerful leaders. And in order to become one, you need to take green certification courses.

Green degree programs are becoming more and more wanted. This is happening because, top economical experts presented this field to be one of the most promising in these troubled times. The small numbers of well trained individuals for the green sector have become such a concern, that most of today’s companies are offering green certification to their future workers.

Firms in this industry are also trying to profit from government funding and incentives. For example, in 2009 the US legislative has approved two stimulus packages for the renewable energy sector. These acts will support thirty percent of the costs for any solar installing projects until 2011. With projects for making many buildings environmental friendly, companies in the green industry are going to have a lot of work on their hands.

Also, by the number and degree of the advances made in the field of solar energy, it is expected that in less then ten years, solar PV cells will be integrated in normal windows, thus reducing the purchase costs and making solar energy really ready for the masses. What do you think will happen then? A lot more job openings will appear, so many more trained workers will be needed. With the current growth rate, the number of jobs is said to grow by at least 300,000 in the next two or three years. This will translate to more companies joining the solar industry and thus a greater need for employees with a green degree

Today, green degrees are also being offered by universities, as a way of aiding the solar industry in getting the much coveted certified workforce.

So, what is keeping you from getting a green degree or taking green certification courses?

Get a promising job in a young industry that has no option but to grow; and since harnessing the free and non-polluting energy sources is of global interest, you can also move to any country in the world. You only need to want it and you are on your way to a green degree and a promising new career.

With A Green Degree – The Future is Yours!

While national in nature, a Renewable Energy Degree has global implications as struggling economies seek ways to become less reliant on unstable energy markets, suppliers and markets.  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has followed Washington’s lead by aggressively complying with Clean Air Legislation and thus solidifying the demand for associates with a Green Degree or a Renewable Energy Degree
Many colleges and universities have moved to fill the demand by initiating Green Degree and Renewable Energy Degree curriculums focused directly on this emerging industry.  The numbers supporting the demand are staggering.  By 2015, U.S. solar energy job opportunities are expected to exceed 300% of current availability.
Graduates with a Green Degree should also expect startling growth in biofuel development, cell fuel technology and weatherization.  Many states have already commenced weatherization and solar energy programs to capture funds allocated by the Obama stimulus package.
A two year Renewable Energy Degree would prepare the graduate for immediate insertion into the field of solar energy development.  The solar energy marketplace is tremendously understaffed and was unprepared for the Obama energy mandate.

More than $4 trillion in Renewable Energy projects are expected prior to 2030 with a demand for 37 million new jobs.  There marketplace is startlingly void of qualified persons with a Green Degree or a Renewable Energy Degree to lead the nation in its global pursuit of energy excellence.  And, the global ramifications of a Green Degree are open ended as nations scramble to become energy independent.
95% of the current Renewable Energy jobs are with independent companies.  The administration has buoyed these enterprises as well as emerging companies with a host of manufacturing, production and development grant possibilities.

Many current recipients are solar energy based but other Green Degree areas of endeavor include fuel cell technology and solar photovoltaics.  The foreign outsourcing marketplace is compelling for any graduate with a Green Degree   The U.S. is regarded as a leader in this field and job opportunities exist in virtually every corner of the planet.

In these recessionary times, it is gratifying to see government applying constructive incentives to repair ands protect the environment.  Students who pursue a Green Degree or Renewable Energy Degree are assured of a lucrative immediate short-term employment opportunity and a stable long-term employment career.  The time is right to obtain that two or four year Green Degree

ARRA Ignites Demand for Renewable Energy Degrees

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 has resulted in high demand for programs offering a Renewable Energy Degree   Nationally, universities and colleges are responding with finely tuned 2 and 4 year Green Degree curriculums that are designed to fill the Obama Administration’s push toward environmental leadership.  In an industry with seemingly unlimited potential and where the average annual salary exceeds $95,000, students are responding in kind.

The American Solar Energy Survey reports that in 2009 there are expected to be 8.50 million Green Degree jobs and that annual income from Renewable Energy Programs will exceed $1 trillion.  There is energy work to be done and academia and government are coming together to establish the American dominance in the field.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides State Energy Programs with $3.1 billion in energy stimulus incentives.  A Renewable Energy Degree is advantageous in fields like solar energy, electric power, energy efficiency vehicle development and expansion of the biofuel industry.  Green energy is one of the few fields where employment opportunities are actually increasing during the current recession.

Globally, associates with a Green Degree can expect the same reception.  Australia has extended its commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 5% by mid 2010.  In December, international environmental ministers are expected to declare united fronts in the race to cleanup the environment and make the world less dependent on oil.  A Renewable Energy Degree will provide the associate with a world of opportunity.

The Obama Administration has moved to the forefront with an aggressive plan authorizing $4.5 billion to convert Federal Buildings into environmentally- friendly operations.  This conversion bodes well for employees with a Green Degree and represents only one area of the President’s call for action.

ARRA has also set aside $500 million in educational and job training incentives for persons interested in pursuing a Green Degree    The government’s $5 billion commitment to install Renewable Energy and weatherization improvements to low-income housing is seen as a win-win situation for the environment and the economy.  A two-year Green Energy Degree will prepare the associate for installation, design and construction of renewable energy housing.  Typifying the actions of many states, Colorado has initiated a program with $130 million set aside for the weatherization and energy improvements to housing.

Additionally ARRA has dedicated many grant programs to Renewable Energy and has enabled financing through other grants for installation and manufacturing of energy efficient modules.  Students with a Green Degree will be encouraged and supported by government actions that look to expand the Renewable Energy horizon.

There are simply not enough persons with a Green Degree to fill the demand created by the Obama Administration.  In a recent survey, 72% of energy leaders indicated that the green energy employment marketplace needed supply.  Demand for Associates with a Renewable Energy Degree will peak in the next five years and globally for many years to come.  In a field expected to produce more than billion in revenue in North America in 2013, students with a Green Degree will certainly have job security and opportunity in both the short and long-term.
